Dr. Mike Katell is an Ethics Fellow in the Public Policy Programme of the Alan Turing Institute, which is the UK’s national institute for data science and AI. Mike is also a Visiting Senior Lecturer at Queen Mary University of London and a Fellow at the Institute for the Future of Work. With his team at the Turing, Mike contributes research and advising on a range of policy issues, ranging from the human rights implications of AI, to the impacts of AI on the working conditions of artists and other creative workers. He is hard at work at a book intended to promote clear-eyed thinking about contemporary trends in technology with the working title ‘AI is Going to Destroy Us and Other Myths
