The hunt for Ireland’s best marketers is well underway, and CIM are delighted to announce that due to popular demand, the deadline for the Ireland Marketing Awards 2018 has been extended to Friday 05 October.
With the extended deadline, there’s even more time to submit your entry to any one of the available 16 categories. The 2018 winners will be announced at the gala event awards ceremony on Friday 9 November at the iconic Titanic Belfast, where you can walk the decks of the last remaining White Star vessel, the SS Nomadic.
At the award’s launch in May, CIM announced three new categories, including Best New Product or Service Launch and Cause Related Marketing, offering an even wider spectrum of opportunity for businesses to showcase the great work of their marketing teams.
This year’s judges include business leaders from the Cabinet Office, the Northern Ireland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Ulster University. The awards also have a new principal sponsor, The Marketing Trust, an independent charitable trust that supports training and development of people and organisations in all aspects of marketing.
Speaking about the event, Chris Daly, chief executive of CIM said: “CIM is independent, trusted and connected. The CIM Ireland Marketing Awards recognise and celebrate the insight, creativity and impact of marketers throughout Ireland are having on the world. We are delighted that the Marketing Trust, which has provided invaluable support for the industry, has joined forces with us in Ireland for the first time to highlight the importance of marketing in today’s increasingly competitive business environment.”
Discussing the awards, Eileen Curry, Interim Chair of CIM Ireland, said: “One of the most important aspects of the awards is that marketing professionals get to share and celebrate some of Ireland’s most successful pieces of work. The category winners provide valuable inspiration and learning to all those in the sector, and particularly during these times of enormous change and uncertainty, this is most welcome. The Awards night this year promises to be the best that CIM Ireland has hosted to date.”
Time’s running out to submit your entry, and with over 16 categories open, what are you waiting for? The awards are open to any organisation, individual or team working in Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland, regardless of size, sector or industry. As the awards last took place in 2016, campaign entries can be for any activity between 30 September 2016 and 28 September 2018.
