PRESS RELEASE
Director of Marketing Liverpool speaking at CIM event
The Chartered Institute of Marketing, in conjunction with Business Isle of Man, is hosting an event later this month about promoting cities and regions and the changing role of destination marketing organisations.
Chris Brown, Director of Marketing Liverpool, will be presenting, ‘The Promotion of Place and the Changing Role of Destination Marketing Organisations’, at the iMuseum, Douglas on Tuesday 28th January.
Marketing Liverpool promotes the city region as a global destination for visitors and investment. It was established in 2013 as a division of Liverpool City Council and is responsible for communicating the city’s brand, working with partners across business, cultural organisations, educational institutions and community groups to promote the city as a place to live, work, visit, invest and study.
The organisation has an impressive track record in increasing the number of visitors and enhancing Liverpool’s reputation as a leading UK business destination.
Richard Slee, Director of RS Marketing and PR, represents the Isle of Man on the CIM North West Regional Board. He said:
"For many years, the Island has enjoyed close ties with Liverpool and the surrounding City Region, so I am looking forward to welcoming Chris Brown to the Isle of Man to speak on this important topic.
"His presentation promises not only to be of real interest for local marketers. Anyone in the local business community wanting real insight into how successful cities and regions attract new investment, visitors and talent would benefit from attending."
