As the UK’s leading organisation for film and the moving image, the British Film Institute (BFI) has developed a specialist course to help marketers integrate AI into video content production.
With increasing demands to produce high-quality video content under tight constraints, AI is already transforming key aspects of video production. Its role in content marketing is expected to grow significantly as technology continues to evolve.
This one-day course focuses on how AI can be used in video content creation specifically for marketing. Participants will create a four-shot micro short film using AI tools, with expert guidance provided through every stage of the process—pre-production, production, and post-production.
The course also explores the future of AI in filmmaking, looking at the latest AI applications and addressing the ethical implications of using AI-generated images and video in content marketing.
The course is led by Paul Cotrulia, an experienced filmmaker and director with extensive knowledge of AI filmmaking. Paul delivers filmmaking workshops for the BFI and brings deep insights into how AI is reshaping cinematic storytelling and video content production, ensuring participants gain valuable practical skills and industry perspectives.
We recommend using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop for this course, as the demos will focus on it. If you can't access it through a licence or free trial, don't worry—we'll provide details of alternative free programmes in the welcome letter.
This course is ideal for marketing professionals and content creators who want to enhance their understanding of AI in video content production.
The BFI also offers a short course, AI Filmmaking Fundamentals, designed for those interested in exploring how AI filmmaking can support their content marketing strategy. For more details on other BFI courses, click here.
Delegates will be required to have the latest edition of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premiere Pro
